SparX (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an AI companion chat experience via the SparX website and mobile apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using SparX you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored hashed), optional display name.
- Companion & chat content: companion profiles you create or edit (name, personality fields, scene text, avatar preferences) and messages you send or receive in chat.
- Usage & technical data: approximate timestamps, app/version identifiers, billing status flags, and basic diagnostics needed to operate the service (for example API error rates). We do not sell personal data.
- Payment data: if you subscribe, payment is processed by our payment provider (for example Stripe or the applicable app store). We receive subscription status and limited metadata; we do not store full card numbers on SparX servers.
2. How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and companions.
- To generate AI replies and related features (regenerate, suggest, personality, avatars) using third-party AI providers under our control of prompts and API calls.
- To process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and prevent abuse.
- To improve reliability, security, and product quality.
- To respond to support requests you send to us.
3. AI processing
SparX companions are artificial intelligence. Message content and personality settings you provide may be sent to AI model providers solely to generate responses and related features for your session. Do not share sensitive personal information (government IDs, financial secrets, health data, etc.) in chat if you do not want it processed for that purpose.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run SparX (hosting, databases, object storage, AI inference, analytics limited to operations, and payment processors), under contracts that limit use to providing their services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or integrity of SparX and its users. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Retention
We retain account, companion, and message data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and security. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support (see below); some residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS/TLS in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password.
7. Age requirement
SparX is intended for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used SparX, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Your choices
- Update profile and companion data in the app.
- Log out and stop using the service at any time.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by emailing support.
- Manage store subscriptions in Google Play or Apple App Store settings when billed there.
9. International users
SparX may be hosted in the United States or other regions where our providers operate. If you access SparX from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in those locations with appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
